Day 1:
Bhubaneshwar
On the day one of your Odisha tribal tours, you will be arriving at Bhubaneshwar airport and driven to the hotel for refreshment and having food. Your first day of the tribal tour in Odisha will begin with exploring the capital city- Bhubaneswar. This city is rich in heritage and etiquettes. Here your tour will begin by visiting the greatest tribal museum in Odisha. This tribal museum has an amazing collection of artifacts and handmade wares, which are quite beautiful and valuable.
After visiting the museum, we will provide you the lunch. Then at the noon, you will be heading to the Jain caves- the Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves (located just a few kilometers from Bhubaneswar). These caves were the habitation of Jains and Buddhist monks. Here you can find around thirty-three rock cut caves.
You will be staying at a hotel in Bhubaneswar in the night.
Day 2:
Bhubaneswar
On the second day of your tribal tour in Odisha, you will enjoy a guided city tour for visiting some amazing places like the elegant and graceful Rajarani Temple. This temple is famous for its mythological stories and great architects. Thereafter, you will be visiting the Parameshwara temple, which is a renowned as Odisha’s oldest temple and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Then we will be taking you to the Muktesvara Deula or Temple (renowned as the gem of Odisha), which is a beautiful Lord Shiva temple that is known for its heritage beauty. In this temple, you will find all the details Buddhists, Hindus, and Jains. Your next stop will be the Brahmehswara temple and Lingaraj Temple. By visiting the Lingaraj Temple, you will be amazed at its enchanting architectural beauty, carving and stone sculptures. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is forbidden-for Non-Hindus. If required, then we can arrange for you a specialized service to give the glimpse from the terrace roof.
After having the lunch, you can enjoy a guided tour to the Odisha State Museum, renowned for its collection of sculptures and temple inscriptions. These adorable artifacts are of great value. Here you will find there are many artifacts related to the tribes of the region, which are amazingly beautiful and precious. At the end of the day, you will visit the most sought our place in Bhubaneswar- “Ekamra Haat”. This is a craft village where you will find a wide variety of handmade wares, arts, and crafts workshop.

Day 3:
Bhubaneshwar – Dhauli – Pipli – Konark – Puri
The day three of your Odisha tribal tour will start with the departure to the beautiful place-Dhauli, which is also known as the Shanti Stupa. This is the place where you will find the carved edicts of Emperor Asoka. Dhauli is the place where the Kalinga war was fought. The amazingly beautiful and carved in white Shanti Stupa is believed to be built by the Japanese.
Thereafter, you enjoy a drive to an amazing city- Puri that is full of culture and heritage. On the way to Puri, you can visit the Pipli. This town is known for its artisans and applique handicrafts. After Pipli, the next stop will be the Sun Temple Konark (a UNESCO world heritage site), which attracts visitors from all over the world.
After having lunch, we will reach Puri where there are many temples, from which the most prominent one is the Puri Lord Jagannath Temple. This temple is the destination for many Hindu traditions and is not accessible to Non-Hindus.
Your day ends at the hotel in Puri with delicious dinner.
Day 4:
Puri – Chilika – Gopalpur:
On the day four of your Tribal tour in Odisha, you will departure to Chilika Lake at Mangalajodi. This lake is Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon, which is shallow and separated from the Bay of Bengal (by a long strip of sand just 60 km away). The Chilika Lake is the largest in India and place for migratory birds with amazing ecosystems and fisheries. Along the way to way, you can visit the village of Raghurajpur, which is famous for paintings “Pata Chitra” and drawings of palm leaves. On your arrival at the Chilika Lake, you will enjoy a pleasurable cruise trip in the handmade boat to enjoy the scenic beauty. Thereafter, you visit the beautiful town of Gopalpur (located on the bank of Bay of Bengal). The Gopalpur Beach is dotted with sand dunes and coconut grooves.

Day 5:
Gopalpur – Rayagada:
On the day five of the tribal Odisha tribal tour, you drive towards the Rayagada town, which is known for the beautiful meadows, waterfalls, vegetation and low valleys. While traveling through the green forests of Odisha, you will reach the tribal area to have the lunch at a local restaurant . Then after, you will be halting at the “Taptapani”, a traditional village, renowned for the hot sulfur springs as well as also rich in the ethnicity and culture of Saura Tribal Villages. Your journey will then continue to Rayagada.
You will enjoy a stay at a 3-star hotel in Rayagada.
Day 6:
Rayagada – Bisamkatak – Rayagada:
The day six of your tribal tour in Odisha starts with a visit to the Bisamkatak and exploring the weekly market of Majhiguda. Here the Dongoriya Kondh tribes come to sell their wares. The Dongoriya Kondh are the tattoo faced tribes who are known for their rich irrigation, plantation, handicrafts and medical facilities. They have been adopting modern culture. In the noon, you will visit the traditional villages of artisans and craftsmen.
You will then return back to Rayagada for enjoying an overnight stay after having the dinner.
Day 7:
Rayagada – Chatikona – Jeypore:
Your day seventh of the tour starts with a scenic drive to Chatikona Weekly market. This market is organized by the Dongariya Kondhas *( who are the Dravidian tribes of Odisha). This market is very colorful because of the traditionally made good and products available for sale. Here the local tribes come all the way from the Niyamagiri to sell their handmade wares. Here you will have the lunch. Then you travel to Jeypore town, most renowned town of Odisha and known for its rich vegetation, cultural heritage and waterfalls.
Enjoy an overnight stay in Jeypore.
Day 8:
Jeypore – Onkadelli – Jeypore:
In the morning of the day eight, your first destination will be the Onkudelli- a bustling market, which is famous and culturally rich. This market is organized by the Bonda and gadabba tribes. The females in the Bonda tribes wear the thick silver neck bands. These tribes live on an enchanted hill and are also one of the most primitive tribes who speak a dialect called “gutap”. Your Tribal tours in Odisha canot be complete without this place.
Your lunch will be packed and served in the village. Then your next stop will be the Boro Gadaba and the pottery villages. This will help you see the amazing handmade pot designs.
The overnight stay will be in Jeypore.
Day 9:
Jeypore – Kunduli – Vishakhapatnam:
The last day of your Odisha tribal tours gets more exciting, as it includes a visit to the famous market of Kunduli. Here you can witness the Paraja, Rana and Mali tribal people. This market is full of life and consists of all the home made wares like jewelry, food, alcohol, beverages and much more. Later, you will visit the Paraja Tribal Villages and then drive to Vishakapatnam. You will be provided with a packed lunch. Your journey will then continue to Vishakhapatnam. You will enjoy an overnight stay in Vizag before you catch a flight.
